Registrars Commit to Improve Service Delivery with New Wheels

The Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary, Mr Pius Bigirimana and the Chief Registrar, HW Sarah Langa Siu handed over the last batch of vehicles to Registrars who missed out during the handover on Monday November 22, 2021. At the same ceremony, the PS and the CR handed over to the Judiciary District Police Commander, Mr Ngabirwe, five motorbikes to be used for enhancing security measures in the Judiciary.

While handing over the SUV vehicle to the Court of Appeal Registrar, HW Susan Kanyange, urged her to use the vehicle as a means to continue delivering justice. "As the Court of Appeal goes regional, may it (the vehicle) help in bringing appellate justice to the people."

The Registrar thanked the Judiciary administration for giving her a new vehicle, a first in her 21 years of service.

The Permanent Secretary reassured the Registrars that in the new Judiciary, there will be equity in the distribution of tools of work.

The other recipient of the brand new SUV, HW Eliasa Omar Kisawuzi, the Registrar in charge of Mediation said he was now re-energized and could ably carry out countrywide inspections without fear of a car breakdown.

Mr Bigirimana applauded the commitment and said the expectation from Top Management is enhanced service delivery.

The Chief Registrar thanked the PS/SJ for ensuring that Registrars get new vehicles. She noted that indeed the new Judiciary was available for all to see and that there would be improved output.

The PS/SJ stated that a united front in the delivery of justice is a plus in service delivery for the country at large.

Since the Financial Year began, the Judiciary has so far procured 59 vehicles for a cross-section of staff of the Judiciary.
